Greetings from New York City:
We've been the house guests of cousins Jo Ann, Peter, and Eric in Yonkers, NY. They have a guest suite over the garage which affords us our own hot shower. We've been here since Oct 16th, violating the old axiom from Benjamin Franklin: "Fish and visitors smell in three days". Their hospitality allowed us to have a home base while we visited Lois Ann's rather large family in the NYC area.
Yesterday's cyan Indian summer sky:

We also had a chance to zip down to Harrisburg and pick up Lois' stuff from storage. Dave was told that "all of it would fit in the new trailer--including the scooter". He wasn't so sure when they pulled up to load and Lois said "Uh,oh....I forgot that I had TWO cedar chests, and oh....there are two dressers here..." Fortunately both Dave and Lois are master packers. Hence, we actually had room to spare and were done with the deed in less than 3 hours! That gave us an extra free day to spend visiting Joe DiComo who gave us the grand tour of the Harrisburg capitol building. His company has some of the restoration contracts currently in progress. It's a beautiful structure, especially when seen from the eyes of a master craftsman in the restorative arts!
Tomorrow we're off to Philadelphia for a history day, and then on to the Richmond, VA area to visit the Sanderson clan.
Leroy is enjoying the trip almost as much as DBS & LAN (N=Nelson, it's official!). He has been introduced to the wonderful world of squirrels. Dave and Leroy have been stalking/chasing all week long. Ah, what a way to start the day ...
Hope you're all well and happy,
The travelers
